Santa left me something shiny!!

Since I can't keep my mouth shut when I'm excited, most of you already know...Adam proposed! He has been talking non-stop about my Christmas present for weeks now! Actually I believe he told me it was my Anniversary/Christmas/Birthday gift! Well apparently my gift arrived yesterday morning (Adam sent a text upon its arrival) so he decided that he could not wait to give it to me on Christmas. I came home from a long frazzled day at work to a very helpful Adam! I had brought home dinner so he helped carry everything inside. After we had eaten & I had fed Nolin, he handed me a small white box. He told me that he had my gift overnighted and that he hoped I liked it...I opened it up to see a small gold box. Upon closer inspection I saw that it said "Godiva"...I was thinking "Really?! You overnighted a couple of chocolates?!" But I opened them, thanked him and popped one in my mouth.

After a few minutes he started to laugh and told me to close my eyes for my real present. As I'm sitting there on the edge of the couch, bouncing a fussy baby boy with my eyes closed, he hands me a much smaller white box. He sat down next to me & put his arm around me as I opened it to find a beautiful cherry wood box. I'm sure I shot him a quizzical glance! I opened it to find an absolutely beautiful ring! I'm pretty sure I just kept looking back and forth between him and the ring...He goofily asked if I understood what was happening (I guess I looked more shocked than I realized!) and he asked me to marry him. I said yes :)

It was simple, magical and US. I've often wondered how he would propose! He's incredibly romantic but had he tried to plan something spectacular, I would have guessed instantly what he was about to do and I made him swear to me that he would surprise me someday!! As of yet, there is no date set, no plans made...Everything is still a discussion at this point. I promise to keep you all informed as we go (ahem, I see a plethora of new blog subjects coming haha!) but for now I will just revel in the glow of my gorgeous engagement ring and rest comfortable in the arms of my fiance!!!

Have a very Merry Christmas & a safe, Happy New Year!!! May you receive all the desires of your heart as I have this holiday...
